Sense and Sensibility

Why see Sense and Sensibility?

A Classic Reimagined

A delightfully playful adaptation of Jane Austen's classic, Sense and Sensibility, will be making the rounds to the Stratford Festival Theatre this summer. Writer Kate Hamill, winner of Wall Street Journal's Playwright of the Year, put her own twist on the work, encouraging double casting on all roles other than the two leads of Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, leading to an exciting and unforeseen dynamic that threw all expectations of the play out of the window. Since the show's premiere in 2014, it has been performed multiple times across the country, garnering rave reviews everywhere it sets foot. Don't miss out on this exciting reinvention!

What's It About?

The Dashwood sisters are left near destitute after the untimely passing of their father and the cruelty of their extended family. Together they seek to find a resolution for their family's troubles, with the hope of finding love on the way.
