Spamalot Meets The Book Of Mormon

For any Elizabethan playwright, it's hard to compete with Shakespeare. The Bard has it all - the money, the chicks and the dance moves, and he produces one masterpiece after another. This is the quandary faced by Nick and Nigel Bottom, two struggling Renaissance writers who are desperate to escape from under the great man's shadow. Seeking guidance, they turn to a local, and quite possibly very mad, soothsayer, who suggests that they might try their hand at a new form of theatre - a play that incorporates musical numbers!

And so the Bottoms get to work on the show that will bring them fame and fortune - Omelette, the world's first musical. Needless to say, things don't go egg-xactly according to plan, especially when that conceited (but undeniably very dashing) Shakey starts poking his nose in their business.
