London Assurance at Stratford Festival Theatre

London Assurance

Stratford plays host to "London Assurance," the timeless comedy written by Dion Boucicault and centered around Sir Harcourt Courtly, an aging London dandy! Seeking to restore his fortunes, Sir Harcourt travels to Oak Hall to marry a young heiress, Grace Harkaway. However, his plans are disrupted by his rebellious son, Charles, and a host of eccentric characters, including the vivacious Lady Gay Spanker and her amiable husband, Dolly. There's witty exchanges and farcical situations aplenty, contrasting Sir Harcourt's outdated ideals with the more progressive attitudes of the younger generation.

Romeo and Juliet at Stratford Festival Theatre

Romeo and Juliet

The Stratford Festival Theatre presents a new production of Shakespeare's tragic love story. With Sam White on directorial duties, escape back to Renaissance Verona, and into the story of two warring families who both pay the ultimate price for their violent feud. A must-see for Shakespeare fans and students, the summer is looking very artistic indeed!

Twelfth Night at Stratford Festival Theatre

Twelfth Night

Coming to the Stratford Festival is a stylish update to Shakespeare's delightfully spirited tale of Viola, this time set in the swinging 60s! The shipwrecked orphan who takes matters into her own hands when stranded on the shores of Illyria. Viola assumes the disguise of a man just to find her way, but when that disguise lands her in a love-triangle, she's no choice but to hold on as the hijinks flow. Love, laughter and delight shine on all corners of the Bard's mad-cap masterpiece.
